Do I need to host with you?

Ownership

Do I own my website?

Yes, you own your website completely. You own the domain (if registered through us or transferred to you), all the content, and the website files. You can take your site anywhere you want.

What happens if I want to leave?

You can cancel your hosting/care plan at any time. We'll provide you with all your website files and help you transfer to another hosting provider if needed. There are no lock-in contracts.

Who owns the domain?

You own your domain. If we register it for you, it's registered in your name. If you already have a domain, you keep ownership. We can help manage DNS settings if needed.

Updates

How do I update my website?

If you're on a care plan, you get up to 2 small text/image edits per month included. For larger updates or additional changes, we offer flat-rate pricing or hourly rates. You can also request updates through our support email.

How quickly are updates made?

Small updates on care plans are typically completed within 2-3 business days. Priority support (Premium Care Plan) gets faster turnaround. Emergency updates can be expedited.

Can I make updates myself?

Our websites are built with static HTML/CSS/JavaScript, so technically you could edit the files directly. However, we recommend using our update service to ensure changes are made correctly and don't break anything.

Timelines

How long does it take to build my website?

Typically, a website build takes 2-4 weeks from when we receive all your content. This includes template customization, content integration, testing, and launch. Timeline may vary based on complexity and how quickly content is provided.

What do I need to provide?

You'll need to provide: text content for each page, images (or we can use stock/placeholder images), contact information, and any specific requirements. We'll provide a content checklist to guide you.

Can I see the site before it goes live?

Yes, we'll provide a preview link for you to review before launch. You can request changes and adjustments before we make it live.

Support

How do I get support?

Support is available via email. Care plan subscribers get email support included. Premium Care Plan subscribers get priority support with faster response times.

What if my site goes down?

If you're on a care plan, we monitor your site and will address issues quickly. We also maintain daily backups so we can restore your site if needed. Emergency support is available for Premium Care Plan subscribers.

Do you provide training?

We provide documentation on how your site works. For complex features, we can provide guidance. However, our goal is to keep things simple so you don't need extensive training.
